Overdue?

Post #1 by Andee » Sun Oct 19, 2008 10:12 pm

If we count the past years of 1947 1963 and 1982 as extreme winters. With the average difference being 17.5 years then we are definately well overdue a significant winter event. If we follow the average we should have had an event in 1999. We are now 9 years past that date, so should we be getting ready for a harsh winter soon. If you believe the GW clan then no, winters will get warmer and summers will get wetter, or believe as I do, that at some point in the near future(hopefully 2008/2009) we will have such a significant winter it will also enter the books as being another winter of discontent.

Tha last snow event that I remember, that lasted more than one day and snowed on and off for three days was either in 1990 or 1991.
