UK Outlook for Monday 2 Sep 2013 to Wednesday 11 Sep 2013:
An unsettled start to this period in the north, cloud and rain spreading south to affect the Midlands and Wales at times, showers then following on Wednesday. Rather breezy with strong winds in the north and a risk of local gales. Thereafter, a more of a northwest-southeast split is likely. Northern and western areas are likely to remain rather changeable and windy, with showers or perhaps longer outbreaks of rain interspersed with brighter periods. Meanwhile, in the south and east, some rain or showers are likely, but here there is likely to be more in the way of drier and brighter spells. Temperatures will be near normal initially, but feeling locally warm in the southeast. It is then expected to become slightly cooler with some chilly nights possible.
UK Outlook for Thursday 12 Sep 2013 to Thursday 26 Sep 2013:
Initially some southern and eastern areas will probably see the best of any drier and brighter conditions, however elsewhere there is a greater chance of seeing rain or showers at times with risk of local gales. Thereafter, the probability of more unsettled conditions prevailing across the country increases, but still with some brighter and warmer interludes. Temperatures look likely to be generally near normal for the time of year.
